The new recycling containers (similar to the existing garbage containers) were unveiled at the August 2012 WDCA meeting. The standard size container is 65 gallons and will be distributed to most of Deerfield Beach. Some neighborhoods have been identified to receive smaller 32 gallon containers. Distribution will begin later in September. Attached is the recycling brochure indicating the materials that can be recycled. Also attached is the Recycling Perks flyer. Residents will be able to accumulate “points” for the amount they recycle. In exchange, residents will be able to redeem those points for coupons to local businesses. You can create your Recycling Perks account now even though the containers have not been distributed.
