Meeting Minutes
Wednesday, April 30, 2014
IN ATTENDANCE: Todd Drosky – Starlight Cove, John Stevenson – Gates of Hillsboro, Ralph Francione – Crystal Key Pointe, Richard Kennedy – Deer Run, Ann Kennedy – Deer Run, Nancy Taylor – Townhomes of Deer Creek, and Jim Bryson – Townhomes of Deer Creek.
CALL TO ORDER: Todd Drosky called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: A motion was made by Todd Drosky and seconded by John Stevenson to approve the minutes from the March 2014 meeting. All were in favor. No one was opposed.
CRIME REPORT: Sergeant Warnell Phillips and Deputy Shelunda Cooper attended the meeting. Sgt. Phillips will be overseeing the Community Affairs Team for Deerfield Beach. It is best to e-mail him at: warnell_phillips@sheriff.org. Deputy Cooper presented the crime report for west Deerfield Beach.
SIGN-A-RAMA PRESENTATION: Michelle Laskowski from Sign-A-Rama made a presentation regarding products available to homeowner’s associations. The products include monument signs, vehicle graphics, illuminated signs, digital printing graphics/custom banners, directory signs and custom signs/office signs/dimensional logos. Sign-A-Rama is a franchise but the website for Mrs. Laskowsi’s store is www.signsdb.com.
HOMEOWNER’S INSURANCE: There was a lengthy discussion regarding homeowners’ insurance rates and carriers for the west Deerfield Beach area.
NEXT MEETING: May 28, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the BSO substation on Powerline Road.
